Art Scarf Fundraiser

The Social Studio has collaborated with 10 emerging and established artists, from a diverse cross section of the community, to commemorate 10 years of The Social Studio. All proceeds from this colourful and talent-packed collection will help fuel the organisation to continue to create meaningful social change and empower Melbourne’s refugee youth.

Our online store and auction aim to raise a massive $40,000 to help fund 20 student scholarships in 2020.

Our amazing artists each donated an artwork to be printed as a limited edition (25 per artwork) silk art scarf, digitally printed by Think Positive Prints and sold online here.

One of each of the art scarves has been framed by Ernest Studios, hand singed by the artist to launch and be auctioned at The Social Studio 10th birthday fundraising gala at the Arts Centre Melbourne on Thursday December 5 2019. Get your tickets here!

Art scarf pre-order is available now. Official sales open from Friday December 6th.

All proceeds from The Social Studio Art Scarf Fundraiser will be used to fund our education and work experience programs that are provided free to Melbourne's refugee youth.

The Social Studio Mission

The Social Studio is a grass-roots not-for-profit social enterprise established in Collingwood in 2009, with a vision to welcome and empower marginalised communities and enable refugee youth to achieve their full potential.

Our ethical and sustainable business model uses the vehicle of fashion - including an RMIT University accredited fashion school, fashion label, ethical clothing manufacturing business, retail store and community space - to transform the lives of Melbourne’s refugee youth.

In 2019, The Social Studio celebrates 10 years of promoting diversity in fashion. Over the past decade, The Social Studio has supported 700+ people from refugee communities in our education and employment programs, and become a fundamental part of inner Melbourne’s diverse cultural and fashion landscape.

All proceeds from The Social Studio Art Scarf Fundraiser will be used to fund our education and work experience programs that are provided free to refugee youth.

If a warm fuzzy feeling is all you need to support an important cause you can donate to The Social Studio anytime.
